Many are wondering if it is, indeed legal to do so.

So what better way to set the record straight than asking a Michigan State Police trooper.

 

Trooper Alyson Burch with the Michigan State Police, Iron Mountain Post says that it’s completely legal!

Trooper Burch says that there is nothing in the Michigan Vehicle Code that requires shoes.

So go ahead and kick off your shoes during your next drive—it’s legal.
